Longevity AI launches an Athena Health integration, turns EMR data into earlier preventive care

Longevity AI today launched a live integration with Athena Health, the cloud EMR used across thousands of primary care and specialty practices. Clinics on Athena Health can connect Longevity AI and keep charting exactly as they do today, while Florence, the platform's clinical companion, turns the patient data already moving through Athena Health into earlier, preventive action.

The connection runs in the background, continuously reading new patient records, lab files, and clinical documents from Athena Health as they arrive. Clinicians keep charting in Athena Health as before, with no new documentation steps. Florence stays in sync by reading new data the moment it lands in Athena Health, and she parses uploaded lab PDFs on her own, scanning over 500 biomarkers and handling more than 100 report formats out of the box.

Florence interprets each new signal against the patient's own history and baseline, flags meaningful change, and drafts the clinical summaries, SOAP notes, and care plans that usually consume a clinician's afternoon. Every output is held inside Longevity AI for the clinician, who reviews, edits, and approves it before it informs care.

For larger groups, the same connection becomes a preventive-intelligence layer that spans every site, with clinical oversight intact at each one. Longevity AI's clinical models were built on anonymized, real-world, longitudinal data from millions of patients in large HMO deployments, modernizing widely used clinical risk models, and those deployments have shown a 10–25% improvement in preventive interventions. Health systems can now extend that approach to the practices running on Athena Health, one site at a time or across an entire network.
